Breaking News: ACB Arrests Former MDF Commander General Paul Phiri

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested former Malawi Defence Force (MDF) Commander General Paul Valentino Phiri over five alleged offences, including abuse of office.

According to ACB spokesperson Jacqueline Ngongonda, Phiri was arrested in connection with offences he is suspected of committing last year.

Ngongonda said Phiri is currently being questioned by ACB officials while awaiting a date to appear before the court.

The ACB has not yet provided further details on the specific charges.
