Media practitioners from all corners of Malawi are at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe, marking the climax of celebration of press freedom day.
Among other activities, there will be awards to journalists for exceptional work in the year.

US Ambassador to Malawi, David Yang has challenged the media to strive to protect press freedom in the country.

Among those in attendance is Minister of Information, Moses Kumkuyu, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, Outgoing Misa Malawi chairperson Teresa Ndanga and incoming chairperson Golden Matonga
