The National Development Party (NDP) has announced that it will hold it’s maiden elective convention on December 14 this year in Mzuzu.
The party was registered in March this year and is led by Frank Mwenifumbo.
It’s secretary general, Gerald Chilongo, told a media briefing in Lilongwe today that the convention will be followed by the official launch of the party on December 15 in the same city.
He said all these activities are in preparation for the general elections in September next year.
Meanwhile, the party’s vice president Wakuda Kamanga has stressed that the party will go solo in the elections next year, ruling out the possibility of forming an electoral alliance with other political parties.
