The Former Football Association of Malawi (FAM) president, Walter Nyamilandu Manda has returned from his tour of duty after fulfilling a number of assignments at the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Writing on his Facebook page Nyamilandu expressed his gratitude to be back from a successful CAF tour of duty that was held in Nairobi, Kenya.
During the event the CAF Executive Committee made a landmark decision for Kenya to host the CHAN tournament in February 2025 as a prequel to AFCON 2026, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

“We were graced by the presence of the Kenyan State President, H.E Dr. William Ruto, who has displayed an unequivocal commitment to developing African football,” reported Nyamilandu.
