Limpopo FM online radio station has announced a Breaking News that the Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) led by its sponsor – Malawi Congress Party (MCP) will on Monday hold nationwide shut down demonstrations of all Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) offices from 4th to 8th May, 2026 in response to government implementation of the Electronic Invoicing System.

Bakili Muluzi TV online television station has claimed that HRDC is part of the MCP saying this has been observed by the rejection of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to continue working with Mr. Felix Lombe as NGORA Chief Executive Officer.
Bakili Muluzi TV said Mr. Lombe was part of the HRDC organizing demonstrations against the DPP and he was the Speech Writer of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera saying this is the reason why Chakwera appointed him to be NGORA Chief.
He said he is very surprised to learn that the HRDC is furious with Professor Mutharika for not working with Lombe issuing threats that they will go to court to block Lombe’s secondment to Malawi College of Accountancy.
” Why is President Mutharika being forced to work with MCP spies in government,” questions Bakili Muluzi TV.
He said it is also surprising that the HRDC is arguing that sending Lombe to Malawi College of Accountancy is partisan politics questioning the MCP on why they want the DPP to work with its spies in government.
