A defamation case between Malawi Defence Force Commander, Vincent Nundwe and social media influencer Joshua Chisa Mbele proceeds this morning in Blantyre.

Nundwe, the claimant, applied to the court that a ruling of a Hgh Court that was to be referred to the Constitutional Court, should be stayed.

Mbele is alleged to have published that the MDF Commander received bribes from Zuneith Sattar.

Last week, Justice Ivy Kamanga said she wanted the defendant to appear physically in court; saying he once called female judges ugly.
