A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, says he is deeply touched reading the face book page of Kondwani Kachamba Ngwira crying for Malawi as the leaders have deaf ears and closed their eyes.
Kamphangala said what Kachamba Ngwira has written on his face book page bears nothing but the truth that Malawi leaders are heavily investing in building political parties at the expense of the suffering people.
He said Kachamba Ngwira said Malawian leaders are heavily building political structures on the ground at the expense of livelihood observing that it is not fair for a tax payer advising the country’s leaders to run the government and spend less on political parties by putting Malawians first not their self-interest.
Writing on his face book page, Kachamba Ngwira says cement has moved from K5,600 to K30,000, fanta from K250 to K1,500, sugar from K800 to K4,000, fertilizer from K16,000 to K140,000, bag of maize from K7000 to K100,000 today K60,000, transport from Mzuzu to Blantyre, no mention, Sienta vehicles which were at K2.5 million but today, K13 million.
Kachamba Ngwira said Malawians are in pain and suffering imagining a 20 Liltre fuel which is being sold at K100,000 asking the country’s leaders that are they serious questioning them why they are concentrating in the building up of their parties at the time that Malawians are crying?
He said this country is for all not for one person and there is no need to stop one from speaking saying whether one call him as coming from opposition side but Malawians are suffering and are in pain, one cannot refute this.
“Should we continue to live like this, tikulimbitsa zipani kuti zikhale ndi mphamvu , Malawi akutaika anthu akulira,” reads Kachamba Ngwira’s writing on the wall.
Kamphangala said Malawians have sailed through pain and sufferings in the 5 years of President Chakwera more than any other government since the dawn of multiparty politics and democracy in 1994.
He said if he were President Chakwera, he would not declare his candidacy for presidency on the 16th September, 2025 elections but paving way for others to take over from him whether in his party or opposition parties to keep his legacy alive.
The MCP diehard said but unfortunately, President Chakwera cannot do this, he is aware that his government has squandered a lot producing many billionaires over a night and these people are likely to enter the prison corridors after the MCP is ousted from power on the 16th September, 2025 elections.
He said the tragic death of the Vice President the late Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others in the Chikangawa forest is ringing in the heads of many Malawians and once the MCP loses the elections on the 16th September, 2025 some other people would find Malawi not a safe place to be, they will run away to other countries to live.
Kamphangala said Malawians are the final judges on whether to continue to live with the current situation they are facing or not, but the judgement will all depend on the outcome of the Smartmatic machines.
