Telecommunications service provider TNM has announced a disruption in its network services experienced on the afternoon of May 23, 2025.

The company stated that the issue is due to fiber optic cable cuts that occurred in both Zambia and Mozambique.

These fiber cuts have affected TNM’s international connectivity, leading to network instability across Malawi.

As a result, customers may experience difficulties in accessing internet services, making calls, or using mobile data.

TNM assured its customers that engineers are actively working to resolve the problem and restore full service as quickly as possible.

The company expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and thanked its users for their patience during the restoration process.
