A voice of the voiceless citizen of Malawi Comrade Alhaji Imraan Jumbe, has urged Malawians to speak truth to power on the 16th September, 2025 elections that MCP has failed them not once, not twice but consistently over the past 5 years of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
Jumbe has observed that the nation is crying, the people are weeping, yet those in power are feasting saying the promises made were sweet but what have Malawians received? Bitter suffering claiming that thousands of Malawians are sleeping on fuel queues like refugees in their own country.
He says cars are parked, businesses are frozen, hospitals are under stress, questioning President Chakwera that where is the leadership? They promised fertilizers at K4,500 but today, it is K150,000 describing this as a mockery to the country’s farmers who feed the nation.
Writing on his face book page, Comrade Jumbe, has noted with a grave concern that cement is now at K40,000 questioning President Chakwera how can a young person dream of building a home when the very basics of construction are beyond reach?
Comrade Jumbe has advised Malawians not to be deceived by fancy campaign slogans or road-side handouts observing that MCP is not a government of the people, MCP is a government for the few and if they failed Malawians in 5 years, what will they do if given more time?
He has asked Malawians to be wise that a cruel party must not be given a second chance saying a party that drives its citizens into poverty, darkness, and hopelessness should be de-registered and not to be re-elected into government.
“MCP is a party that has been involved in more corruption, more oppression, more hunger, more lies, a party that has abused power, blocked opportunities, and silenced voices of those who stand for truth,” reads Comrade Jumbe’s writings on the wall.
Comrade Jumbe has urged Malawians to vote with pain in their hearts, but clarity in their minds saying the suffering of today, must guide the decision of tomorrow saying even an impala does not return to lion’s den after escaping once.
He has claimed that MCP was the lion’s den, Malawians entered with hope, they came back wounded, advising them why should they go back to a cruel government that has no welfare of citizens at heart and has blocked their opportunities?
The citizen has appealed to the registered voters in Malawi to unite as Malawians and say Enough is enough reflecting on the autocratic rule of the MCP and vote for accountability, honest, and empowerment for all.
He has finally appealed to the registered voters to rise and vote for a government that listens, that delivers, and that respects the will of the people observing that the citizens are weeping and crying, but those in power are not listening, they are feasting.
