The MCP diehard has congratulated Malawians themselves for demonstrating to the world that they are for peace and calm while voting for candidates of their choice urging them to continue doing so till after President Chakwera make his speech of accepting the poll results.

Kamphangala said during counting of poll results last evening, it was clear that President Chakwera was heading for defeat as his votes were running head to head with those of Professor Mutharika in the central region of Malawi where the MCP was boasting to have registered more number of voters as compared to the other regions.

He said he witnessed the counting of votes processes himself at Chipala, Mvama, Mkomachi, Chatuwa, Kabwabwa, Chimoka and other polling stations in Lilongwe City Nankhaka Chipala-Nafisi and Nankhaka constituency where both MCP candidates were shown red.
