Social commentator Onjezani Kenani, has called on Malawians to love their country more than ever claiming that there is no any other Malawi apart from the Malawi they have advising them to give good advice to President- Elect Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
Ever since 1994, Malawians have seen Presidents being misled by those surrounding him up to the extent of closing their ears not listening to the cries of the citizen taking those offering constructive advices as enemies of government.
It was only Dr. Bakili Muluzi who served 10 years in office because he planted dogs in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to be informants saying these dogs were reporting directly to him and relying less from his advisors.
Writing on his face book page, Kenani said when Malawians have seen President Professor Mutharika has goofed, they should point it without fear or favor saying this will make the President to realize that he is ruling people.
“Let’s give good advice to President Professor Mutharika and where he goofs, let’s point it without fear or favor,” reads Kenani’s writings on the wall.
A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has called on Professor Mutharika to start working with genuine activists and journalists who have courageously campaigned for him while he was not invisible to the people.
Kamphangala said genuine activists such as Bon Kalindo, Pastor Moses Shumba, Comrade Ntanyiwa, Bakili Muluzi TV, Kondwani Kachamba Ngwira, Bishop Kachenje, Lytone Mangochi and journalists such as Burnett Munthali, Jones Gadama, Suleman Chitela and others, can help him to govern the country in the interest of all.
He said these genuine activists and journalists have courage in themselves and that courage cannot stop them to point out where Professor Mutharika is getting it wrong for corrections to the better expressing hope that Mutharika will not throw them away.
The MCP diehard said the MCP of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera had good advisors such as Bantu Saunders Jumah, Happy Chizaso Gondwe, including Bon Kalindo but President Chakwera closed his eyes and ears opting to listen to advices from Richard Chimwendo Banda, Dr. Ken Zikhale Ng’oma and Moses Kunkuyu, among others.
He said all of the people that helped the MCP to win the June, 2020 court-sanctioned presidential elections such as Alex Major, Sylvester Nyoni, and others, were thrown into the rubbish pits opting for new comers from other political parties such as Catherine Gotani Hara, and others, as the best of the best.
“The Afro-Barometer and other opinions polls were clear that if the elections were held today, Chakwera would lose the elections, he failed to correct where he had lost and today, he is out of government,” said Kamphangala.
He said it is possible for the DPP to make History is the best teacher winning two terms of office like Dr. Bakili Muluzi advising the party to reflect back that the very same people that voted for them out of government in June, 2020 are the same that have voted for them back into government today.
