A Concerned citizen of Malawi who is also a Malawi Congress Party (MCP) member Aubi F Jackson Jnr, has written an open letter to fellow MCPs, that the 2025 politics has taught MCP members, leaders and supporters many lessons.
Jackson said the choice of the Vice President does not make the president to win the elections faulting the MCCP wrong for betraying innocent people on the choice that one did not have capacity to make the party win not knowing that the problem was not with the people but the way the MCP has managed 5 years of being in government.
He said handouts, parades in MCP rallies have failed to make President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera win the elections but the works of someone hands speaks for him for the voters to choose saying in September, 2025 Malawians voted for those guys besides their weaknesses but somewhere, they are good.
In the open letter, Jackson said boasting of numbers that the central region of Malawi has registered more people than all the country’s regions, have been proved to be a lie, DPP has beaten the MCP in their own region.
He has advised the party that next time they should learn to take care of their stronghold- the central region of Malawi observing that the 16th September, 2025 elections have proved that 2 million that registered in the southern region of Malawi was bigger than 3.5 million people that registered in the central region of Malawi.
The Citizen said DPP and Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika did not do much of the campaign promises observing that Mutharika did not promise what to do if elected into government in his rallies, he was only saying “Mwakhaula eti!, akufinyani eti! and mwachimina eti!”
He said party members and supporters have witnessed for themselves that distribution of free for all money in MCP rallies has not made the party to win the elections observing that people in southern region of Malawi even if they can spend a week sleeping with empty stomachs, they will still vote for DPP.
“We were busy de-campaigning Mutharika in our rallies for the voters not to vote for him, our colleagues were busy doing what is best for Malawians,” said Jackson.
In a related MCP news development, former Kasungu legislator Hon. Alex Major writing on his face book page has asked President Dr. Lazarus Chakwer to give himself respect for others in the party to respect him with no need to chase him.
“This man is without sense of human nature, you can’t think of going to MCP headquarters to operate from there, we owners of the party, loves you, please, form your own party to prove that you have support in Malawi but here in our party, it will be impossible,” reads Major’s writings on the wall.
