Bakili Muluzi TV online television station, has alleged that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera kidnapped State House police officers saying this is why the police obtained a search warrant to go into Chakwera’s residence to hunt for fellow police officers.
The TV station has claimed that the four shepherd dogs which were stolen from Kamuzu Palace were bought in South Africa using taxpayers’ money and received police training funded by taxpayers’ money saying the dogs can detect a bomb while protecting the President.
He said the dogs stolen from Kamuzu Palace are police officers, they are part of Malawi Police Service (MPS) saying at the time of their stolen, a Television Decoder which was placed on the walls of Kamuzu Palace, was also part of the loot.
The activist said President Chakwera had to go to court to seek protection so that all that wanted to search for the dogs inside his residence must not be allowed a development which is posing many questions than answers.
He has reminded Malawians that senior members of the DPP such as Dr. Collins Magalasi, Dr. Joseph Mwanamvekha and Dr. Dalitso Kabambe did not block the police from searching their residences and they did not even go to court to obtain injunctions.
The activist said a search warrant was obtained for police to search the house of Mr. Henry Mussa for a mere laptop which its price is K500,000 saying they also arrested Reverend Christopher Mzomera Ngwira for misappropriating K250,000 which he could not fail to pay back.
He said Reverend Mzomera Ngwira spent one full year in Prison and today, someone has obtained a court injunction blocking the police from searching dogs which were bought at a price of K4 million describing this as shame not only to President Chakwera but the entire MCP membership.
Bakili Muluzi TV said German shepherd dogs are more valuable than the dogs who were sent by President Chakwera to procure fertilizer in a butchery, pharmacy and multiplying the country’s national debts by 5 times in just 4 years of power to reach K28 trillion in 2025 from K4.1 trillion left by the DPP and Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in 2020.
“These German shepherd dogs are more important than the dogs which procured fertilizer for Malawi from butchery and pharmacies,” he said.
Social commentator Onjezani Kenani writing on his face book page, says there is a lot of economic vandalism in the country observing that these guys of the MCP committed crimes which could result in big cases, but dogs?
“No, don’t distract the nation, sending 80 police officers, four dogs, 20 police officers for one dog, don’t misuse national resources like that, go after them for real cases, not jokes,” reads Kenani’s advices on the wall.
