There was unusual security activity at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) this morning, where cameras captured heightened presence of law-enforcement officers around the VIP Lounge.
Former Secretary to the President and Cabinet (SPC), Madam Collen Zamba, was reportedly stopped from boarding her scheduled Malawi Airlines flight to Geneva via South Africa.
Zamba was expected to depart earlier today, but airport authorities and security officials are said to have prohibited her from traveling outside the country. As of now, the reasons behind her detention remain unclear, and no official statement has been issued by government or law-enforcement agencies.
