Leaders Loot, Community Suffers
For seven years, the Kwitunji chiefdom under T.A. Katuli in Mangochi District has been systematically exploited. Local leaders, tasked with serving the community, have instead turned the chiefdom into a personal cash cow, leaving the rightful owner sidelined and powerless.
Schools, Health, and Projects Neglected
Resources meant for education, health, and infrastructure have been mismanaged or stolen. Schools lack basic materials, clinics struggle to operate, and vital community projects lie in ruins — all while leaders live comfortably off the people’s labor.

A Community Fed Up
“The chiefdom is ours, yet they act like it belongs to them. Seven years of exploitation is enough,” said a frustrated resident. The anger is palpable, and the call for justice grows louder each day.
The Call for Accountability
Seven years of betrayal cannot continue. The people of Kwitunji demand that T.A. Katuli and those responsible restore the chiefdom to its rightful owners. Greed cannot be allowed to dominate governance any longer. The time for action is now.
