Rhodrick Junaid Kalimpha has thanked the University of Malawi (UNIMA) community for inviting him to its Social Weekend, praising the organisers and attendees for turning up despite heavy rain.
Kalumpha said the poor weather did not stop students and guests from attending the event, which he described as an enjoyable gathering.
He specifically commended the organisers, Shaffie Mateya, Joel Chigalu and Fallujah Milambo, describing them as “excellent” and “brilliant young men.”
“Fun was had. And I had fun. Nzeru zinakumanadi,” Kakumpha said, reflecting on the lively atmosphere and interactions during the event.
The Social Weekend provided an opportunity for young people to socialise, connect and enjoy entertainment despite the challenging weather conditions.
Kalumpha’s remarks highlight the role of university social events in bringing young people together through entertainment, networking and shared experiences.
