ACB To Probe NOCMA Fuel Contract Deals

The Anti-Corruption Bureau–ACB is regarding revelations on dubious fuel contract deals as a complaint worth probing.

Former Acting CEO of the National Oil Company of Malawi–NOCMA Hellen Buluma yesterday made shocking revelations that she was pressurized to sign dubious contracts.

Buluma appeared before the parliamentary Appointments Committee-PAC on issues relating to her recruitment and apparent resignation.

She said the Secretary to President and Cabinet–SPC Collen Zamba had been forcing her to allegedly offer fuel supply contracts fraudulently.

She also mentioned Malawi Congress Party-MCP legislator Ndaila Onani who allegedly pushed her to offer for sale Chipoka oil reserves in Salima.

The ACB Senior publicist Egritta Ndala has since revealed that the matter is worth probing.
