BJ UNPACKS CHAKWERA’S DEVELOPMENT AGENDA IN MULANJE

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) member, Brown Mpinganjira, who is also known as “BJ” in political circles has urged people in Mulanje to rally behind the country’s President Dr Lazarus Chakwera as he continues developing the country.

Speaking in Mulanje South East Constituency at Senior Chief Mabuka’s headquarters, the veteran politician said unity is key in the journey of emancipating the country from poverty hence everyone must strive to promote all initiatives that enhance unity in the country.

Mpinganjira disclosed that the government is implementing several interventions such as the Mtukula Pakhomo Programme which seeks to cushion the citizenry from economic hardships.

“This is not time for politics, this is time for development, let us unite and develop our country,” said Mpinganjira.

On his part, Senior Chief Mabuka commended the government for championing several development projects in his area such as the rural electrification programme.

Mpinganjira was accompanied by some regional and district MCP leaders. During the meeting, they distributed party materials including cloths and welcomed people who have defected from other political parties.
