Bullets, Silver To Launch Castel Challenge Cup

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will play Silver Strikers in a ceremonial match marking the official launch of the three-year K1 billion Castel Challenge Cup at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on June 17 this year

Football Association of Malawi has confirmed the development; pledging to provide details later.

In April this year, Castel Malawi unveiled the tournament which has the annual package of K320 with national champions carting home K50 million.

The runners-up will pocket K25 million while the semi-finalists will go away with K10 million each. Quarter-finalists will get K5 million each.

The company will also reward each of the 31distrct qualifiers with K750 000 while 17 regional qualifiers will get K1 million each.

The People’s Team and the Central Bankers meet after playing a one-all-draw game in their 2023 TNM Super League opener. But last month, Bullets beat Silver 1-0 to win the Kamuzu Cup
