President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is expected to officially launch the Global Fund Grant Cycle 7 at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe this morning.
This comes after the Global Fund approved a grant of over $525 million for Malawi to tackle malaria, tuberculosis (TB), and HIV from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2027.
Out of the funds, $419 million will be channelled to HIV and TB management and $84 million towards malaria.
In addition, $21 million will be invested in community response to TB and HIV and will be handled by World Vision.
Key dignitaries from the embassies of Japan, America, Britain, and Norway are expected to be part of the ceremony.
