Concerned citizen reminds Mumba learn to say the truth

A Concerned citizen from the North, has asked Minister of Trade and Industry Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba that for once as a northerner, he should learn to say the truth and not taking the northerners for granted.

The citizen has observed that What Mumba said during a rally held at Njamba Park in Blantyre on Sunday that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is developing all areas in the country equally, is not true advising Mumba to be the first to tell Chakwera the truth that the Northern Region is not having the claimed development projects.

He said it is only Mzuzu City which has no modern airport, no modern stadium and all the roads in the northern region are in bad shape including the Chiweta which has been turned into insults besides a lot of fuel and other goods passing through it.

Speaking through an audio clip, the citizen has asked Mumba to tell President Chakwera that he should be reminded to fulfill the promises he made to develop the northern region saying people of the region are anxiously waiting for that.

The citizen has also warned President Chakwera that should he fail to fulfill the promises made of developing the north, he should expect no votes from the people of the region claiming that it is high time politicians have been taking the people of the region for granted.

He said President Chakwera assured the just ended parliamentary sitting that he will fulfill all the promises he made to the people of the north before the country holds the General Elections on the 16th September, 2025 saying that September, is coming soon.

The citizen said the people of the North are found themselves to be promised development projects whenever elections are around the corner, warning the authorities that not this time, people in the region are tired of lies.

“The people of the North are angry and this anger will be seen on the 16th September, 2025 voting day and this is their stand,” ´he said.

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera took almost 3 hours standing in Parliament outlining development projects he has implemented in the 5 years stay in government and this was proved that the claimed projects were just on paper and not existing on the ground.
