‘Finally, Malawi feels like Home’–Prophet Bushiri

Prophet Shepard Bushiri says he feels at home in Malawi, for the first time after receiving a local award recognizing him for his humanitarian works to survivors of cyclone storm Ana.

Last weekend, National Product Magazine awarded the Enlightened Christian Gathering, (ECG) founder for his outstanding humanitarian works during the disaster.

“I have done so many humanitarian works in Malawi since 2015. But I have received several awards for the work I do in Malawi from different countries apart from Malawi. This is the first time I am getting an award from Malawi. It’s quite a motivation not just to me but to so many other Malawians. The award given to is a message that Malawians have started recognizing and appreciating each other,” he said.

During the event graced by the principal secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Francis Zhuwawo at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre, several other companies in the manufacturing industry were awarded for their unparalleled contribution to Malawi’s economy.
