Police in Salima have arrested a 29-year-old G4S guard, for allegedly stealing 16 railway line sleepers belonging to Central East African Railways worth K1.2 million.
Spokesperson for Salima police station Jacob Khembo has identified the suspect as Aaron Mazira.
According to Khembo, the arrest follows a tip from a Steven Chigona who was allegedly buying the items.
The police publicist told us that Chigona told them that he was buying the sleepers from Mazira who works as a guard at Salima Railway Station.
