Herbalists Given 3 Years Jail Term

Two herbalists in Dedza Julius Phiri (30) and Jafali William (27) have been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment with hard labour for fraud and false pretence.

State prosecutor Dickson Chipote told the court that the two obtained money from a man identified as Mathews Nthamangira on grounds that they would bring back to life his daughter who died mysteriously at the age of 12 in 2019.

The two pleaded guilty to the charge and asked court for leniency saying they are first offenders.
