Kaduwa Imperial Hotel in Lilongwe is set to host a poetry and music event dubbed “Bwalo 02 – Mbiri Ndi Nyimbo” on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
The event aims to celebrate Malawi’s history, culture and heritage through poetry and music.
Renowned Malawian poet Q Malewzi will headline the event, alongside guest poet Professor William “Lezlee Lyrix” Henry.
According to the organisers, Kaduwa Imperial Hotel Manager Ramsey Mjambe said the event seeks to showcase Malawian stories, history and heritage through artistic expression under the theme “The Word Before the Book.”
Mjambe said the event will be held at Kaduwa Imperial Hotel along Mandala Road in Area 3, Lilongwe, from 7pm to 8pm.
He said tickets are selling at K20,000 and are currently available.
The event is being organised by Kaduwa Imperial Hotel in partnership with the Lost History Foundation, an organisation involved in research, heritage and documenting Malawi’s history.
