Malawian political activist, Bon Kalindo, who has off late become a police customer, says he is not twitching even this government arrests him 100 times as it wishes.
He said this in Lilongwe on Tuesday following his re-arrest immediately after being granted bail in a case he is being accused of proposing violence in the recent anti-government protests.
Peter Kalaya, Malawi Police Publicist confirmed the arrest saying; they have arrested him in the connection of what he said in the audio that is bestowing a threat to the nation security.
Early, Kalindo led the protests under the banner ‘Malawi First’, demanding answers from government on the prevailing economic hardships following the 44 percent kwacha devaluation.
But the protests ended up in violence with some people damaging property. Police arrested 23 in the old capital city Zomba.
Kalindo, who is also answering another case of illegal power connection, hr said that he is not worried or afraid; saying the current regime is falling down.
