A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has claimed that foot soldiers who for one year of the DPP led government of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika have been crying and their cries have not been heard, have given up on Professor Mutharika and the DPP.
Kamphangala said these foot soldiers ( Activists and journalists) are sailing through pain and sufferings claiming that many of these are failing to buy data bundles for their mobile phones after doing a good job to the DPP and Professor Mutharika to enter into government.
He said had they known that DPP and President Professor Mutharika were just using them as ladders to advance their political ambitious in government, they could not have sacrificed their lives to die for the DPP and Professor Mutharika.
The MCP diehard said he had time to meet one of the journalist (name withheld) who told him that ever since the DPP went into government in September, 2025 to this date, President Professor Mutharika has never had time to invite them to the State House to either thank them for the job beautifully done that the DPP is in government or recognizing them for the role they played towards political change in Malawi from MCP to DPP.
He said it is sad to be hearing that Comrades Bakili Muluzi TV, Bon Kalindo, Lytone Mangochi, Pastor Moses Shumba, Bishop W. Kachenje, Suleman Chitera, Jones Gadama, among many others, are still using personal resources without receiving a “big thank you ” from the DPP as a party and Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
The MCP diehard said for 5 years of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his MCP, there was no DPP media, all went out in hiding leaving out genuine journalists on the battle field to fight through their pens making Professor Mutharika to win the election with landslide victory.
He said today that DPP is in government, those media personnel who went into hiding have come out to claim the name – DPP media while real journalists who sacrificed their lives to die for Professor Mutharika are out of government struggling for their survival and have been reduced as beggars.
Kamphangala said the journalist has told him that foot soldiers do not want to receive anything from the DPP and President Professor Mutharika claiming that the DPP is happy to have used and dumped them to pave way for their children, relatives and girl friends making it into parastatal organizations and Embassies.
“Without Bakili Muluzi TV, Comrade Ntanyiwa, Kalindo, Pastor Shumba, Bishop Kachenje, Suleman Chitera and Jones Gadama, among many others, DPP and Professor Mutharika could not have won the September, 2025 elections with a landslide victory,” he said.
Kamphangala has wished President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, DPP cabinet ministers well as they are celebrating one year in office while those who suffered for the party to be in government are crying and no one is listening to their cries assuring the DPP that these foot soldiers will still be crying up to the 2030 elections for the DPP to bounce back into government again.
He has appealed to all foot soldiers who fought for the DPP into government but are useless people in the eyes of DPP ministers and President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to pray to God for another DPP victory so that those who have made themselves billionaires over the heads should receive abundant blessings in the name of the Lord in Heaven.
Kamphangala has finally advised all foot soldiers whose cries have not been heard by the DPP and President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika that never and ever to lose heart, God will be with them all the time and will reward them one day in their lifetime.
