Kamu Guard Services Gets Unayo Bank Alert

Karonga-based KAMU Guard Services Football Club have laughed the last in the Unayo K15 million Northern Region Football Association (NRFA) after beating Chitipa Young K 3 -1 in a match that was played at Karonga Stadium Sunday afternoon.

In a third place match played in Mzuzu, Likoma-based Ulisa Football Club beat Chihame FC from Nkhatabay 5-4 on post-match penalties after a goalless draw in regulation time.

For being crowned champions, KAMU received a bank alert message of K2 million and a trophy while Chitipa Young K received K1.5 million. Ulisa and Chihame received K1 million and K700,000 respectively for finishing third and fourth in the competition.

In media awards, MBC’s Rudovico Nyirenda has been named as the best journalist in Radio Category while Pledge Jali of Nation Publications Limited has been recognized as the best print reporter and Vinjeru Ngwira as the best online reporter.
