Mzuzu Lions Club has appealed to individuals and other organisations to engage the extra gear in assisting households that are struggling to make ends meet.
Zone Chairperson for the Club in the Northern Region, Roman Mkandawire, was speaking during the induction of new office bearers for the Mzuzu Lions Club. He said many households are struggling to find basic needs such as food and proper accommodation.
“Responsible persons have to do their rightful roles and support the needy. There are many out there that need our support be it proper accommodation or food. As Mzuzu Lions Club we want the new office bearers to continue with that spirit of sharing the little they have with others,” said Mkandawire.
Mzuzu Lions Club has been supporting public hospitals, schools and other vulnerable groups of people in and around Mzuzu City.
