Malawians To Judge My Performance-Chakwera

By Suleman Chitera Apr26,2022

President Chakwera has said he will leave to people rate him on whether he has done well or not in his two years.

Chakwera was responding to a question from recent pastoral letters issued by Catholic Bishops and Nkhoma Synod which rate his government’s efforts to tame corruption as not effective.

The letters also condemned rising levels of corruption, nepotism and failure to fulfil promises by his leadership.

Responding to the question, Chakwera said he has taken note of the two letters just like his fellow Christians and that he has heard the message.

Chakwera says, he is like a student in the class and wouldn’t be able to mark himself insisting Malawians will grade him the way they wish.

Responding on when Tonse leaders would reveal contents of their agreement, Chakwera said Tonse leaders are deliberating on the matter and Malawians will be notified after a decision is made.
