Malawi Freedom Network Court has stopped government’s decision to redeploy some District Commissioners pending a judicial review of the matter on 18th October 2022.
Malawi Local Government Association-MALGA has obtained the injunction after earlier claiming councillors were not consulted before the redeployment decision.
The government’s decision has created heated debate with some chiefs and residents in Nsanje and Neno protesting the redeployment of their DC’s.
But some councillors have also faulted MALGA for its stance on the matter.
