MCM Reviews Code Of Ethics

The Medical Council of Malawi (MCM) has launched the revised Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for health professionals.

Speaking during the launch in Lilongwe, Chairperson for MCM, Professor John Chisi, expressed hope that the new guidelines will curb common professional misconduct by health workers.

Meanwhile, Minister of Health, Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, applauded MCM for intensifying efforts aimed at protecting the public, a development which is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 3.

Established in 1987 by the Act of Parliament, the MCM has both ethical and legal responsibilities.
