MPS calls for road safety rules adherence

By Suleman Chitera Oct13,2022

The Malawi Police Service (MPS) has called on road users to adhere to road safety rules and regulations in order to avoid road accidents.

The Director for Traffic Police in the Service, Mrs. Dorophy Kawale, DCP, made the call in an interview with MBC-TV in ‘Malamulo Akutinji’ programme.

Kawale stressed that it is every road user’s responsibility to observe the rules and regulations when using the road.

“Traffic officers are there to enforce traffic rules and regulations, but every road user must mind own safety and safety of the other road user,” said Kawale.

She has therefore challenged traffic officers to impose on-spot fines to road users who neglect traffic rules according to the law.
