National Initiative for Civic Education (NICE) has urged journalists to effectively discharge their duties ahead of the forthcoming general election on 16 September 2025.
NICE Dedza District Programme Officer, Vincent Kalawa, said this at Dedza Boma during the presentation of the organization’s civic and voter education strategy for the polls.
“We expect the media to work with our office to counter misinformation and disinformation towards the forthcoming general election. We have aligned a number of activities to lobby eligible voters to cast their ballot during the election,” he explained.
One of the journalists who attended the meeting, Horance Tebulo, described the civic and voter education strategy as an essential document in the run-up to the general elections.
