No Room For Incompetence – Chakwera

By Suleman Chitera Nov3,2022

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera says he will not tolerate government officials that do not deliver.

Dr Chakwera was speaking today at the official opening of the Henry Henderson School of Excellency in Blantyre.

He said he felt compelled to open the facility because it is built on high standards and has a special place in history.

Dr Chakwera commended those who worked on the project for doing a flawless job within the shortest period.

The Malawi leader then touched on several important issues of national interest that he is watching closely. The President singled out EGENCO which is expected to complete one of the phases of its rehabilitation for Kapichira Hydro Power Station come December 2022.

“The fuel crisis mess, the forex mess, UNIMA mess, AIP mess among others, for the next 17 months I want to see delivery and not lip service,” said Dr Chakwera.
