SPC Colleen Zamba Challenges CEO’s To Deliver

The Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Coleen Zamba, has challenged chief executive officers of Statutory Corporations and State-owned enterprises to change how they conduct their operations urgently and help the government in improving the country’s economy.

Zamba said some of the parastatals are there for commercial purposes but still rely on the government’s financial injection to operate.

The SPC further said the CEOs being experts and part of the senior management team of the country need to be innovative and make bold decisions that will help the government achieve its development agenda.

She pointed out that its time for the civil service to retain its dignity and improve public perception while stressing that the civil service should be apolitical.

Zamba also called on the CEOs to work collaboratively to improve the status quo of the country.
