Tiwafikire Charity Foundation has raised funds amounting to 5 million Kwacha, which is aimed at assisting needy students doing tertiary education in the country.

This follows a fund raising campaign the organization conducted with support from various companies including, Inno Build and CTS Courier.

The Foundation seeks to assist needy students from Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences and University of Malawi with school fees and other basic needs.

Amon Banda, Director of the Foundation said his organization has so far assisted over one hundred needy students.

He has since called for collaborative efforts aimed at bailing out students who are facing financial challenges which are negatively affecting their access to tertiary education.

“Its not too late for others to join us because we have alot of students out there who are in need of our support. We’re calling upon authorities out there to come and join us because we have a lot of work to do in as far as the process is concerned,” Banda said.
