Wanderers Win Airtel Top 8 Cup

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers are this year’s champions of the Airtel Top 8 Cup after defeating holders Nyasa Big Bullets via post-match penalties.

The two sides played a goalless draw at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.

This is also the first medal for the English Mentor, Mark Harrison who has registered six consecutive wins.

The Wanderers converted all their five spot kicks while Kesten Simbi missed for the Peoples team.

The win for nomads is the first against their rivals this season out of four outings.

Under the new coach, Nomads have played six matches without conceding a goal.

Wanderers have pocketed K17 million while runners-up went home with K6 million.
