We Want To See Action Not Words, Jolobala Tells Government

Government has succumbed to pressure the members of Parliament and now released 3000 metric tonnes of Urea fertiliser to Eastern and Southern Regions.

This follows a protest MPs from the two regions launched this morning at SFFRFM warehouses in Blantyre.

The MPs claim last week government got 5000 metric tonnes of fertiliser from SFFRFM warehouses in Chirimba but only distributed 1000 MT to the two regions while the rest was sent to Central Region

According to spokesperson for the of MPs, Esther Jolobala of Machinga, East the MPs have been assured that they will start receiving the commodity today.

“However, we will continue with the vigil to monitor that what government has told us is being implemented. We want to see action not just words,” Jolobala told Nation Online
