The Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services has described as untrue reports making rounds on social media that it has stopped the issuance of passports.

Spokesperson for the Department Wellingtone Chiponde says the issuance of passports is in full swing in all its outlets across the country and has doubled to three hundred passports a day.

Over the weekend, some people took to social media that the department has stopped issuing new passports.
