Nyasa Big Bullets mentor Kalisto Pasuwa is optimistic that his charges will break the record of cruising into the next stage of Total Energies Caf Champions league this year, having missed the same in the immediate past three editions.
He was reacting to the state of preparedness of the People’s Team ahead of their Saturday’s first preliminary round assignment in the tournament, against Tanzania giants Simba SC at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
Pasuwa adds his charges are unfazed of locking horns with the Lions which are considered as one of the giants in the continent, adding that he has much confidence in his youthful side.
“We have alot of youngsters as we were building a team and again we are going out there with mind of winning. But remember these are youngsters we need also alot of experience to be in them. We have prepared them very well in order for us to advance to next stage.”said Pasuwa
Pasuwa adds he is not shaken of Simba SC which has their former player -Peter Banda , saying that will not have any impact in the mouthwatering encounter.
Bullets will be traveling to Dar es Salaam for a return leg with the Lions in their den at Benjamin William Mkapa Stadium a week later.
Last season, Bullets were knocked out of the competition in the preliminary stage after losing 3-2 on aggregate to South African side Amazulu FC.
