The Livingstonia Synod of the CCAP has hailed Leader of Opposition in Parliament and DPP Vice President for the Southern Region, Right Honourable Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa for making time to attend an important CCAP Church function in Mzuzu.
The Church has said Malawi needs examplary leaders who are God-fearing and those that freely and openly interact with local people to easily appreciate their challenges.
The Synod’s General Secretary, Reverend William Tembo described the youthful politician as humble, selfless, and God-fearing. He urged other leaders to emulate Nankhumwa’s example.
The Very Reverend Tembo was speaking at St. Andrews CCAP Church in Mzuzu on Sunday, November 20, 2022 during the farewell Church service for Reverend Mhone who has been promoted to the position of Deputy General Secretary for the Livingstonia Synod.
The function brought together some prominent politicians from various political parties, members of the academia, as well as traditional leaders.
In his remarks, the Leader of Opposition encouraged Reverend Mhone to serve Synod and its flock with dedication and love.
