Reports indicate that a Chinese owned company, SINO SKY Industrial Limited, has been robbed K60 million and other valuables items.
Lilongwe Police spokesperson, Hastings Chigalu confirms the development and says they have since launched investigations.
The quarry production company is located at Maye near Nathenje Trading Centre in Lilongwe.
“It is said that on the day of the incident, at around 23:30 hours on Wednesday, unknown criminals broke into the manager’s house, Yizhong Cai, while he and other occupants were asleep.

“After gaining entry into the house, it is said that the robbers took control of events and started searching for valuables starting with the manager’s bedroom,” says Chigalu.
He adds the robbers bumped into the money, unidentified pistol loaded with six rounds of ammunition, four cell phones, and later removed Hard Drive for the CCTV machine before going away.
Adds Chigalu: “It is also said that during the commission of the robbery, four occupants of the house including the manager, were beaten.”
The total value of other items stolen alongside the cash is yet to be established.
