Center for Democracy and Economic Development Initiative (Cdedi) and the Lilongwe City Council on thursday inspected Central Poultry 2000 Ltd’s Dude Farm to check for waste management compliance.
Cdedi officials were led by executive director Sylvester Namiwa while LCC officials were led by the Director of Health and Social Services at LCC, Jorlex Kamtokoma.
Dude Farm was closed on January 3, 2023, by Lilongwe City Council after it was established that the company had set up a compositing center, making manure within the premises which was declared a health hazard as it was emitting an unbearable smell.
