Deputy minister of health Halima Daudi has called on development partners to help the ministry with more equipment and supplies to support the health care system.

Daudi made the call this morning in Lilongwe, when she received a donation of an ambulance, motorcycles and some medical supplies worth over 40 million kwacha from Lviliang Jiujiu Charity Association of China for Ntaja health centre in Machinga.

She said Cyclone Freddy left a huge impact in the country’s health care system and that the recovery process will require collaboration with stakeholders.

The association’s president Zhang Ancai said they are responding to the country’s needs aimed at improving lives of the rural communities.
