U-17 WWC: Four countries qualify for quarter-final

At least four countries have qualified for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup quarter-final.

The four countries are Nigeria, United States, Spain and Ecuador.

Nigeria’s Flamingos and Ecuador were the latest teams to advance to the knock-out stage after winning their matches in the early hours of Wednesday.

Nigeria defeated the host nation, the Dominican Republic, 1-0 to finish top of Group A.

Ecuador defeated New Zealand 4-0 in their final group game tie.

Meanwhile, Zambia will tackle Japan later today, while Poland will face Brazil in their final group game fixture.
