The Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) has issued a public notice informing its viewers of technical difficulties affecting the transmission of MBC TV 1 and MBC TV 2 on DSTV and GOTV platforms. According to the notice, the issue stems from a satellite downlink problem in South Africa, which has resulted in signal disruptions for subscribers accessing MBC channels through these platforms.

MBC has assured the public that its team of engineers is working tirelessly to resolve the problem and restore normal service as soon as possible. The broadcaster also acknowledged the inconvenience caused and apologized to its viewers for the unexpected disruption.

The statement did not specify how long it would take to fix the issue, but MBC’s commitment to resolving the matter promptly suggests that efforts are being made to restore services as quickly as possible.

For many Malawians, MBC remains a primary source of news, entertainment, and national events coverage. As such, the disruption has sparked concern among viewers who rely on the station for daily programming. The affected audience will be eagerly waiting for further updates from MBC regarding the restoration of normal broadcasting services.

In the meantime, MBC encourages viewers to stay tuned for additional announcements and seek alternative ways to access its content where possible. The broadcaster remains committed to delivering quality programming despite the technical setback.
