A tragic road accident involving a minibus belonging to the People’s Development Party (PDP), owned by Kondwani Nankhumwa, occurred yesterday evening at Thuchila Bridge near Nkhando.

According to reports, the PDP minibus, bearing registration number CZ 10260, was speeding when it collided with an ambulance.
The ambulance, registered as MJ 9396, was also impacted by the force of the crash and subsequently crashed into another minibus.
The second minibus, which also belongs to the PDP, was registered as MJ 8327.
The accident caused significant damage to all three vehicles involved, creating a chaotic scene at the bridge.

Emergency response teams rushed to the scene to provide medical assistance to the victims.
As of now, no fatalities have been confirmed, but several people have sustained serious injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.
Traffic disruptions were experienced in the area as rescue efforts and accident investigations continued.
The injured individuals have been taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
