Rights activist Bishop W. Kachenje, has urged Malawians regardless of their political party affiliations not to allow the Chikangawa party rule the country again saying what happened to Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, in the Chikangawa forest must be a lesson to all Malawians to remember for life.
Bishop Kachenje has assured all those that are making sure that the truth of the departed souls should not be known to the public that whether they like it or not, the spirit of these innocent people will not die and will be haunting them for life.
He has described all those that are joining Chikangawa party as shame to them for following death claiming that they are offering their lives to crocodiles as food reminding Malawians that the MCP of Kamuzu Banda threw many innocent people into the Shire River as crocodile meat.
Speaking through an audio clip, Bishop Kachenje has appealed to Malawians never and ever to trust these Chikangawa people claiming that they are lacking the Holy spirit of knowing what they are doing and humanity.
Bishop Kachenje has prayed to God the Almighty to send his angels to punish all those who held a Memorial Service for the departed souls in the Chikangawa forest without the surviving families as they were all attending a similar event at Nsipe in Ntcheu.
He has asked God to forgive greedy chiefs who took part in the Chikangawa Memorial Service saying they did not go there to mourn Dr. Chilima and eight others, but to receive millions of Kwachas in terms of allowances State House prepared for them.
The Bishop said Malawians will keep on demanding for the establishment of an independent commission of inquiry for the truth to prevail claiming that for any crashing plane, there’s a huge explosion and the aircraft is burnt.
“Give us a tangible report on the death of Dr. Chilima and eight others, we are not sleeping, being quiet does not mean that the matter is forgotten,” said Bishop Kachenje.
He said on the 18th May, 1983 the MCP of Kamuzu Banda tragically killed the four cabinet ministers in the names of Aaron Gadama, Dick Matenje, Twaibu Sangala and David Chiwanga and dumped their dead bodies at Thambani in Mwanza.
Bishop Kachenje said President Kamuzu Banda told the nation that the four died while they were running away after failing to overthrow his government hiding the truth that the four were murdered by his government.
He said today, History has been repeated that Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, were tragically killed and their death raised millions of questions than answers, President Chakwera and his MCP government are all quiet, but they are honoring, and remembering the departed souls.
Bishop Kachenje has finally assured the Chikangawa party that God was there in the Chikangawa forest, he saw everything with his eyes the pain innocent people suffered and whether it will take years, months or weeks, light will conquer darkness and the truth shall prevail.
