A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, says he has learnt with a great shock and dismay over media reports that the MCP led government of out- going President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has stolen K3 trillion in just 4 months to the 16th September, 2025 general elections.
Kamphangala said this huge money has been stolen from government coffers at a time that hospitals are running dry without essential drugs, hunger is in the midst of millions of Malawians making many citizens spending nights with empty stomachs and no hope for a better tomorrow.

He said without shame, the MCP people that have stolen this huge money are the very same people who called themselves servant leaders but inwardly in their hearts, they were crooks, mafias, and thieves who entered government for one agenda- to steal peoples’ taxes.
The MCP diehard has appealed to President Chakwera to account for all of this money and bring to book all those that suspected to have their hands playing apart in stealing from the poor Malawians that many at this hour, do not know where fertilizers will come from.
He has expressed fears that failing to account for this K3 trillion stolen, would lead to many senior members of the party being arrested and prosecuted in courts of laws thereby denting the good image of the MCP and its founding Father, Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.
Kamphangala said K3 trillion in the previous national budgets was planned for the whole financial year for hospitals to be supplied with essential drugs, fertilizers available, and wage bills wondering what the MCP has done with this money as there is nothing to show on the ground except for China and Japan Aid funded road infrastructure projects.
He has called on the new government of Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to investigate the whereabouts of this K3 trillion by arresting culprits so that this money is recovered and go back to implement equally important projects.
The MCP diehard has claimed that all this plunder of public resources has been made for the new government to find nowhere to start working saying these people are angered by the defeat from the 16th September, 2025 elections observing that stealing K3 trillion is a case against humanity.
“President Chakwera at one time went to Parliament outlining development projects his government has completed in his 5 year’s term of office only to find that there was nothing on the ground, billions of Kwachas was stolen,” Kamphangala has reminded Malawians.
He has warned all those that have stolen this K3 trillion for mansions, or other personal expenditures, that Malawians regardless of their political party affiliations will not leave them scot-free saying President Chakwera has been shielding them but this time around, they will be arrested, prosecuted and rot in the country’s prisons.
